mattes saddle fix tape

This photographs shows the font hook of the mattes saddle fix tape which is a german product designed to pull saddle pads up into the gullet of an english saddle and off the horse’s spine. Creating a channel in the gullet of the saddle should be a regular part of tacking up with an english saddle, but on some horses maintaining the position of the saddle padd off the spine through a workout can be difficult due to their conformation. The Mattes saddle Fix Tape was designed to remedy this problem but unfortunately only works with the Mattes brand pads, which we find to be lacking the density we prefer in a saddle pad.
