Storing Horse Show Ribbons

So you are looking for something to do with all those horse show ribbons under your bed, in your trailer, and flooding your tack trunk? There are many creative ways to display and store horse show ribbons.

If you do not want to display your horse show ribbons but would like to keep them, the safest way to store them is with this method of horse show ribbon storage:

Find a Rubbermaid type storage container that is a wide as your largest ribbon is long. Line the bottom of the container with acid free tissue paper and lay one layer of horse show ribbons on top of the tissue paper, making sure each horse show ribbon is flat. Cover the layer of horse show ribbons with tissue paper, add another layer of horse show ribbons, staggering the rosettes. After two layers, add a piece of cardboard that is cut to the shape of your storage container. Then add a layer a tissue paper, more ribbons, more tissue, and another layer of cardboard. This will help keep your horse show ribbons flat and fresh.

This method of storing horse show ribbons will keep them crisp in case you want to display them in a trophy room or tack room or have a quilt made from them in the future.
